Toby was always more than average, in all senses. He was charming, attractive, and talented in more ways than one. He was the pitcher for his high school’s baseball team, kicker for the football team, goalie and team captain for soccer. He was in band, theater club, and was a teacher aid. He was on the student council all throughout high school, he even managed to be elected class president his senior year. In the mock elections portion of the yearbook, he was elected ‘Most Likely to Succeed’, ‘Best Smile’, ‘Everybody’s Friend’, and ‘Most Talented’.He was an exceptionally bright person. But all of that ended when he started college.

The first semester of college was going great up until finals came rolling around. It was nearly half a month before the actual tests came around that Toby began studying. He started staying up later and later, getting less sleep over time. Even after his finals, his newly found sleeping pattern became more permanent. Over time, Toby would find that he was only getting a few hours of sleep each week. He sought out medical help and they gave him medicine to help him fall asleep but his body just wouldn’t take to it. He was finding that when he did get sleep, he’d still feel tired. He only figured that it was his body lacking so much sleep in the past, that he needed to make up for it. And until he did, his body would still feel tired. Even with small cat naps throughout the day, he just couldn’t shake the sleepiness.
